Writing a blog is probably one of the best solutions. Posting instructive and engaging articles weekly or very frequently is crucial.\u00a0 It is best to use a catchy title, have good images (don\u2019t swipe it: purchase it or use a Creative Commons image), use headings to break the piece down into easy-to-read sections, and insert one or two links back to your site.<\/span><\/p>\n

Attempt to Remove Negative Links<\/span><\/h1>\n

Removing the negative post, link, image or blog post is possible but frankly, however, it\u2019s usually extremely difficult to delete content once something has been published.\u00a0 Politely contact the author or webmaster and professionally state your case and request the item to be removed.\u00a0 Be sensitive that you don\u2019t want to open a \u201chornet\u2019s nest\u201d by reaching out to the author, however. Create a Wikipedia Entry<\/span><\/h1>\n

Using your smartphone could be fine so long as your are authentic or provide great content.<\/span><\/p>\n

Stay Clear of Negative Comments<\/span><\/h1>\n

Don\u2019t comment on negative content such as a review on RipoffReports.com because it will only push its ranking higher. Tempting as it might be to tell your side of the story, this will only make things worse so avoid it.<\/span><\/p>\n

Make a Presence\u00a0on Industry Platforms<\/span><\/h1>\n

Get on Relevant Blogs<\/span><\/h1>\n

Follow and good, interesting and useful blogs and online sites for your industry, and add your online presence there.<\/span><\/p>\n

Join Alumni Groups<\/span><\/h1>\n

Add yourself to undergraduate or graduate schools alumni sites. Usually, sites with \u201c.edu\u201d domain extensions are ranked highly by Google.<\/span><\/p>\n

Update Your Web Site with Meta Tags Title and Descriptions<\/span><\/h1>\n

Be sure your web site is optimized, ideally for the negative term.\u00a0 This could be complicated and might involve an SEO or ORM expert but make sure your name or your company is included in the title metatags of some of your pages.\u00a0 The page\u2019s Title is the link that Google displays when searching for you, and without it set up properly, the good information about you won\u2019t be found.<\/span><\/p>\n

Be\u00a0Active On Facebook<\/span><\/h1>\n

Be very active on social media sites such as Facebook by posting good content.\u00a0 These should not be purely promotional but should be geared to engage with your friends.\u00a0 Add images, ask questions, and comment on other\u2019s post at least once a day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Tweet Daily<\/span><\/h1>\n

Google is using cues from social media engagement more and more so after Facebook, Twitter is an excellent online reputation management tip.\u00a0 Gain good followers, put out helpful information, and link back to your site.\u00a0 Tweet consistently several times a day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Add Images to Pinterest<\/span><\/h1>\n

Adding visual information to Pinterest can also be very powerful. Comment on others, \u201clike\u201d and \u201cPin\u201d compelling images.\u00a0 The best times to post images are after 8pm or the weekends. Look to gain Followers too and develop Boards that are clear, colorful and have a specific niche.<\/span><\/p>\n

Post Images to Instagram<\/span><\/h1>\n

Although slightly depending on your industry, activity on Instagram can vary, but minimally make an account and add your website in the Profile section. Comment on others, \u201clike\u201d and add your own images you take ranging from cityscapes, vacation photos, meetings locations, etc.<\/span><\/p>\n

Complete Image Information<\/span><\/h1>\n
